Fall ofEdem
Gameplay

Every system can kill you.

Eleven interlocking systems shape every run in Fall of Edem. Each one is simple to read and hard to master, and each one feeds the others.

SYS · SURVIVAL

Survival system

Hunger, thirst, body temperature, infection and blood loss are tracked separately. Each one can kill you on its own.

Food spoils, water must be boiled or filtered, and wet clothes drain heat at night. A bite does not end the run, but untreated infection progresses in stages and slowly takes away stamina, vision and aim.

SYS · CRAFTING

Crafting

Recipes are learned, not unlocked. Find manuals, take apart what you scavenge and build from what you actually carry.

Workbenches, campfires and forges each open different recipe tiers. Every crafted item has a condition value and can be repaired, modified or broken down again.

SYS · BUILDING

Base building

Claim ground, fortify it and keep it standing.

Build from foundations up in wood, scrap metal and concrete. Structures decay without upkeep, and the noise of generators and workshops draws the infected.

SYS · COMBAT

Combat

Melee is heavy and deliberate. Firearms are loud, and ammunition is rare.

Stamina governs every swing. Gunshots carry across the map and pull hordes toward the source, so every shot is a decision.

SYS · WEAPONS

Weapons & equipment

From sharpened rebar to military rifles, every item has condition, weight and attachments.

Clothing has insulation and protection values, backpacks define what you can carry, and weight affects speed and noise.

SYS · HUNTING

Hunting & gathering

Track game, forage, fish and work the land.

Animals react to scent and noise. Hides, meat, bone and fat each have uses, and edible plants change with the season.

SYS · PROGRESSION

Character progression

Skills improve by doing.

Carpentry improves by building, marksmanship by shooting and medicine by treating wounds. There are no classes and no levels to buy.

SYS · TRANSPORT

Transportation

Repair and fuel abandoned vehicles.

Cars, motorcycles and boats need parts and fuel found in the world. Vehicles are fast and loud, and they can be stolen.

SYS · RESOURCES

Resource management

Everything runs out.

Fuel, medicine, ammunition and food are finite in each area and return slowly. Planning storage and rotation decides whether a base survives the winter.

SYS · MULTIPLAYER

Multiplayer interaction

Trade, ally or betray.

Public servers host many survivors in one world. Groups share bases and storage, talk through proximity voice and radio, and trade at neutral points.

SYS · PVP

PvP & PvE

The infected are always a threat. Other players might be.

Servers can run PvE, PvP or mixed rules, with safe zones and contested regions defined per server.
